Keeping bus lanes and bus stops clear is essential to ensuring buses move efficiently and safely. Automated Bus Lane Enforcement (ABLE) systems will be on six of our buses as a part of the Smart Street pilot program launched by the City of Chicago – Government. This pilot program is an initiative with the Chicago Department of Transportation to use camera technology to automatically enforce parking and standing violations in bus and bike lanes, as well as bus stops. | Chicago Transit Authority
